Exhibition by Tiina Sarapu ja Mare Saare at Tallinna Art Hall Gallery.
At this exhibition, glass is the silent messenger. Mare Saare’s silent witnesses with their open eyes, yet closed mouths are listening to the breather, performed by an orchestra of Tiina Sarapu’s transparent music sheet stands.
The focal point of this exhibition has been predestined by contemporary world – the need to find balance between various duties and wants. Mostly between giving of and to oneself. On one hand the pressure is to express and have an opinion. Also, expectations, even insistence of those who surround you for you to take a stand. And on the other hand the longing to be silent, in solitude, independent and not involved, just to listen to the silence and devote persists.
